A free autumn night market is set to light up Adelaide’s West End this week, with Light Square / Wauwi transforming into a lively pop-up packed with vintage finds, vinyl, food, art and dancefloor-ready tunes.
Wauwi Nights: Vintage, Vinyl & Vibes is bringing together some of the city’s best local creatives and traders for a one-night-only celebration in the heart of the CBD. Presented by the City of Adelaide in collaboration with My Dead Grandpa, the event is shaping up as an easy Friday night out with a little bit of everything, from curated second-hand shopping to disco, soul and funk under the stars.
The free, all-ages event will take over Light Square / Wauwi on Friday 17 April from 5pm to 10pm, inviting locals to browse, eat, sip and soak up the atmosphere as the square shifts into party mode after dark.
There will also be plenty on offer for anyone coming hungry. Sunny’s Pizza will be serving up slices, OMG Donuts will bring the sweet fix, and drinks will be flowing from Nearly Bar and Kombi Crew Coffee.
Adding to the mix, artist Kerri Wright will host lino printmaking workshops across the night, giving you the chance to get hands-on and take part in something creative.
As the evening rolls on, the music will take centre stage with a stacked DJ line-up soundtracking the square from start to finish. Here’s the lineup.

With Record Store Day just around the corner, on Saturday 18 April, the timing could not be better. Wauwi Nights feels like the perfect warm-up, with crate-digging energy, vintage and a community party atmosphere in a fantastic Adelaide public space.
For anyone looking for a free way to make the most of autumn in Adelaide, this one ticks plenty of boxes. It is local, lively and full of character, with good food, good music and good finds all in one place.
