Advantage SA Welcomes New Board Members

Advantage SA has welcomed two dynamic South Australian professionals as board members.

Peter de Cure and Leigh McClusky will be joining the Advantage SA board.

Collectively Peter and Leigh bring with them over 50 years of experience in both senior management and executive positions across a diverse range of industries.

Peter de Cure brings a great deal of expertise to Advantage SA as a seasoned director having served as a board member for Variety Australia Inc, Seymour College Inc and Cora Barclay Centre Inc. He was, until recently, a partner at KPMG specialising in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions and business structures.

"I am looking forward to working with the Advantage SA Board and Executive at an exciting time for our state. South Australia has an outstanding opportunity to capitalise on its natural and cultural advantages and the opportunity to contribute to the promotion of SA is very exciting", Peter said.

Leigh McClusky, Principal of McClusky & Co Public Relations and Communications brings with her over 30 years of experience in the media and public relations industries and currently sits on the boards of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Maximus Resources.

“I’m delighted to be joining the Board and look forward to making a useful contribution to the ongoing growth of Advantage SA in promoting our fabulous State and world class businesses”, Leigh said.

Advantage SA Chairman, Frank Filosi said that on behalf of the Advantage SA board members, he was delighted to welcome Peter and Leigh to Advantage SA as board members.

“Both individuals are professional focused leaders and highly effective strategic thinkers. Together, Peter and Leigh will bring a wealth of experience and a diversity of skills to Advantage SA. We (Advantage SA) are pleased to have them both on board and look forward to their contribution towards maximising the future success of the organisation and the State.”

The board would like to thank outgoing board members Julianne Parkinson, Executive Director at Ernst & Young and Cathy McHugh, Owner, Gray Management Group for their hard work, enthusiasm and commitment to Advantage SA over the past three years.
