Australian Label LEXI Clothing, having already captured the attention of international celebrities including Nicole Richie, is preparing its latest collection for the Adelaide Fashion Festival ‘Ready To Wear’ Runway this October. The brand has been building success overseas since having the privilege of showing their collection at the 2014 New York Fashion Week, a groundbreaking moment for Unley Road based label.
LEXI has strong ties to the iconic Alexis George label, however it has a modern, young and fresh spin on design. The pieces are experimental and a unique modernisation of vintage designs; figure hugging, provocative cutouts make for edgy looks that have a classy, provocateur essence to them. Yet the looks never sway from the classic, high quality craftsmanship of Alexis George, perfectly executing accessible, ready to wear clothes that look high end.
If some of these pieces look familiar to you, but you’re not quite sure where you have seen them before, it’s likely that you’ve lusted over an outfit worn by the likes of Australian export Iggy Azalea; sporting their ‘Micalite’ corset at the Maxim Hot 100 Party.
