Following the news that South Australia’s AFL teams will resume contact training as of Monday May 25, reports have emerged of Round Two being a Port vs Crows Showdown.
The AFL and SA Health have reportedly reached an agreement allowing the Round Two Showdown to go ahead.
This week, the Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has has given the teams permission to undertake full squad training sessions, including tackling, contact, and match simulation in South Australia.
He directed that these exemptions will be subject to a range of conditions.
For the Showdown, it is likely that umpires who fly over early will need to undertake the two-week quarantine, and be subject to similar conditions.
More to come.
