In the wake of the terrible bushfires that tore through the Adelaide Hills on December 20, South Australia has come together in its relief efforts for the families, businesses and community affected by the devastation.

A major gala is currently in the works for late January, set to raise funds for those hit the hardest by the bushfires.

As part of this, Adelaide chef and restaurateur Duncan Welgemoed has recruited a legion of friends, including chefs, winemakers, sommeliers, and bartenders, to donate seven incredible events.

Each of the events promise a unique, “once in a lifetime” culinary experience for the winning bidder and their guests, with all proceeds going towards Tilbrook Estate, Vinteloper, the South Australian Country Fire Service, and the Adelaide Hills Wine Region Fire Appeal.

“Bid big and be a legend because we know how to throw a dinner party,” Welgemoed comments.

Each event (with the exception of number 6) is for ten people exclusively, and will take place at the winning bidders house (Adelaide locations only).

The events will feature produce, wine, beer, and spirits donated by the greater community, meaning Adelaide and beyond.

The bidding for each dinner will begin at $5,000.

Dates TBC with the winners and the contributors at a mutually agreed time.
