Madame Hanoi is lighting up the Adelaide dining scene this chilly season with the launch of two bold new experiences, giving food lovers all the more reason to pay SkyCity Adelaide a visit.
Meet Madame After Dark. From 9pm every Friday, the red light flickers on and Madame goes late, ready to host your weekend starter. Tucked upstairs on the moody mezzanine, After Dark offers an indulgent late-night experience perfect for winding down or kicking off the weekend. Think beer buckets, signature cocktails, and mouthwatering street-style bites.

The After Dark menu is all about elevated comfort food. There’s juicy chicken wings in sticky caramel sauce, citrusy fried squid alongside popcorn cauliflower dusted in chilli sugar.
Bao lovers are in for a treat too, with six options of the fluffy steamed buns to choose from, including crispy pork belly, spiced tofu, Korean fried chicken and braised short rib. They’re just $10 each or three for $20, a perfect match for a $10 Corona or Peroni, or a bucket of four for $30.
Prefer your indulgence by daylight?
Step into Hendrick’s High Tea, where the elegance of a traditional afternoon tea meets Southeast Asian flair in a highly curated, unique fusion.
Every Thursday and Friday from 12–2:30pm, this sought-after experience allows you to journey from savoury to sweet, and salty to spicy with creations sure to leave your palate longing for more.
In this refreshed offering, Head Chef Sean Thomas casts aside the conventional in favour of the unexpected. Cucumber sandwiches make way for punchy, regionally inspired creations, layered across three tiers – two savoury and one sweet – that speak to the diversity and dynamism of Southeast Asian culinary traditions.
“It’s an opportunity to go on a journey and try many different dishes inspired by different countries in South-East Asia,” explains Thomas.

Think crispy gyoza- skin taco filled with slow cooked beef rib, folded prawn and ginger dumplings, and pillowy chicken bao buns.
But it’s the Spencer Gulf Kingfish Cups that Thomas insists guests start with.
“Amazingly fresh kingfish, diced fine and cured in a Tom Kha–inspired sauce, served with a thick, aromatic coconut cream and pops of salmon roe inside a crunchy prawn cracker,” he says.
The finale is unapologetically lush, a Saigon kumquat macaron, silky tofu and white chocolate cheesecake, and Madame’s take on Tres Leches – sponge soaked in condensed milk and coconut cream, topped with fresh fruit.
At $69pp, this is high tea with high drama. Served alongside a fragrant pot of Hendrick’s Gin tea, it’s perfect for long lunches, cheeky escapes, or something deliciously different.
Whether you’re indulging in a theatrical high tea or sipping cocktails under red light at After Dark, Madame Hanoi offers an immersive dining experience like no other. The multi-award winning French-Vietnamese restaurant and cocktail bar offers bold flavours, an alluring, electric atmosphere, and is the perfect backdrop to your weekend right in the heart of the city.
