ALDI is about to expand its ever-growing empire with another store opening, the first for 2017, in Hawthorn tomorrow.
From Wednesday 5 April, ALDI Hawthorn is set to deliver high-quality products at low prices, along with popular biweekly Special Buys. There’s also, of course, the usual fresh fruit, vegetables and bread delivered daily.
ALDI will open a total of 10 stores in South Australia throughout 2017, including Aldinga, Nuriootpa, Kensington Park, Port Pirie and Adelaide Airport.
ALDI’s long-term expansion will see up to 50 stores developed, providing South Australians with increased grocery options and employment opportunities, with up to 900 new permanent jobs to be created statewide.
“Since opening our first South Australian stores, we have received an overwhelmingly positive response from local residents,” said Viktor Jakupec, Managing Director – ALDI South Australia.
“South Australian shoppers have embraced the ALDI shopping experience, with many discovering just how much they can save by shopping at ALDI. We look forward to helping even more people experience the ALDI difference.”
ALDI Hawthorn will follow ALDI’s new store format with redesigned shelving and expanded wooden produce bays, as well as energy efficient LED lighting and chillers.
To celebrate the store opening, ALDI will have a number of unique Special Buys on sale that are not collectively available at any other store.
Special Buys can be as varied as televisions and toys, to kitchen utensils and clothing.
“Our experience shows customers love the surprise element of our Special Buys. Complementing our everyday range, the limited edition Special Buys appear in store every Wednesday and Saturday and are available until sold out,” Viktor Jakupec said.
“Along with reading the catalogue and visiting our website, customers can nominate to receive our weekly email newsletter, which previews the Special Buy products that will be on sale the following week.”
ALDI Hawthorn will be located at 198 Belair Road, Hawthorn.
Opening hours will be Monday to Friday 8.30am to 8pm, with extended trading hours until 9pm on Thursdays. Saturday hours will be 8am-5pm, while Sunday hours will be 11am-5pm.
