Melbourne’s Ali Barter has had a busy 12 months with a slew of singles gaining high rotation on Triple J, helping her build a profile as one of Australia’s hottest rising indie rockers. On Saturday night she hits up Fat Controller for her One Night In tour, stepping things up from her last show at Jive, with a bigger crowd expected this time around.
She’s already sold out her A Suitable Girl tour earlier in the year, building a solid live show with the support of her fantastic live band also featuring husband, Holy Holy’s virtuoso guitarist, Oscar Dawson. Press Club and talented local muso Mane are warming the stage before the main event and worth coming out early to check out.
The show is due to sell out, particular with a near sell out Port Adelaide final match bound to finish just before she hits the stage, meaning hordes of young folk heading south into the CBD and pervading every club, pub and street corner in site.
