All-Italian Autoclassica vehicle show to roar into Festival Plaza this November

After a brief hiatus, this signature event is set to dazzle car enthusiasts on Sunday, 12th November, at the all new location of Festival Plaza.

The much-loved all-Italian vehicle show Autoclassica is back with a bang, showcasing an impressive array of vehicles in a highlight of the Adelaide Italian Festival.

After a brief hiatus, this signature event is set to dazzle car enthusiasts on Sunday, 12th November, at the all new location of Festival Plaza.

From 10am onwards, visitors of all ages can immerse themselves in the world of classic and contemporary Italian motor marvels, with the chance to get intimately acquainted with legendary brands such as Ferrari, Fiat, and Ducati.

After the overwhelming interest and success of the first Adelaide Italian Festival vehicle show in 2021, the festival Chair Tania Milohis is excited to present the event for its second year and is calling on anyone who has an Italian vehicle to participate and place it on display.

“After last year’s event was cancelled due to weather, we are expecting this year to be even bigger and better with more anticipation at a new high foot-traffic location,

“We are expecting over 100 vehicles to be on display for the public to enjoy and are encouraging anyone who has an Italian vehicle, whether it’s a unique model or simply one that’s sitting in a garage, to register to participate and show it off,” Tania said.

The event is free to the public and will include the most-loved Italian motor brands including Fiat, Alfa Romeo, and Ducati, as well as a range of Italian supercars, thanks to the 2023 Adelaide Italian Festival major partner Zagame Automotive Group.

“Cars are one of the most iconic aspects of Italian culture and we want to bring the Italian car community together, as well as all car lovers, to celebrate the great history and class that is Italian motoring…” Tania said.

“It’s also a great family-friendly event that everyone can enjoy with gelati, coffee, cannoli and traditional Italian nibbles that can be enjoyed while soaking up the sunshine,” she concluded.

The festival is also opening its doors to local food and beverage vendors, adding a touch of South Australian flair to Italian culinary traditions. Interested vendors and vehicle exhibitors can register through the official website, ensuring their presence at this high-visibility venue.

Other events that have already been announced as part of the 2023 Adelaide Italian Festival are La Grande Gita, a social bike ride through the Barossa, the Opening Night Street Party in the East End, a Journey Mass at St. Francis Xavier’s Cathedral which recognises the brave journey that Italian migrants made to the country and the opportunities they developed, as well as the Closing Gala Dinner. The full program will be announced on Wednesday 4 October.
