Kublai Khan serves up an epic smorgasbord of Mongolian food called the ‘Victory Feast‘.

Named after the 13th century emperor of the Mongol Empire, Kublai Khan’s ‘Victory Feast’ is inspired by the traditional meal eaten by mongol warriors, adapted to include local fresh ingredients.

The feast is an all you can eat buffet, where you can select your own choice of meats, fresh vegetables, flavouring and spices.

Pair your meal with fried rice, steamed rice, noodles, prawn chips and/or warrior buns (bread damper), and you’ll be sure to roll out happy.

Your meal is also guaranteed to pack a punch, with Kublai Khan offering very sauce available under the sun, including Ginger Sauce, Garlic Sauce, Parsley Sauce, Chilli Sauce, and more.

If you want to bring the kids along, there is specialised deals on offer for them too. For kids between the ages of 2-4, they can eat as much as they want for $11.50. Kids between the ages of 4-10 can also have the Victory Feast for $19.50.

While this is described as a Mongolian BBQ, vegetarians are catered to as well for $22.50. Beef it up with some vegetarian spring rolls and curry puffs, and you will be set for the evening.

Established in 1989, the Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ Restaurant is a proud family business and has been serving the inner Adelaide suburb of Parkside for more than 30 years.

While the restaurant is quaint and simply furnished, loyal patrons have described the venue as “authentically Mongolian” and a true “hidden gem in the East of Adelaide”.

Once you select your ingredients, you hand it to the chef and your meal is cooked in front of you on a large wood fired cast iron grill, which looks like a giant black shield. The round grill represents a battle shield and can reach temperatures of up to 300 °C.

Sit back, breathe in the amazing aromas of the dishes and watch the masters work. A skilled chef will cook and craft your meal to perfection, using giant chopsticks. If you want the genuine Mongolian experience without breaking the bank, Kublai Khan is a great place to go.
