When two powerhouses of the Adelaide hospitality scene team up, you just know it’s something you’re going to want to be a part of. And this is no exception.
Fresh off the back of its win as Australia’s Best Gin earlier this year, Ambleside Distillers is throwing a series of dinner parties at its Adelaide Hills distillery and kicking off with a bang.
With food prepared by none other than the team from CBD institution, Soi 38, the Ambleside Gin Dinner will see guests enjoy a 3-course Thai-inspired degustation (plus dessert and a snack, so technically 5) with each course paired perfectly with a gin cocktail. Sticking with the theme for the evening, all cocktails will have a Thai twang with botanicals used from the on-site garden at Ambleside’s home in The Hills.
Local, family-run business, Ambleside Distillers proudly grows the majority of its ingredients onsite ensuring only the highest quality ingredients go into its gin. It’s this factor that gives them an edge and what could have been the defining factor in being named Australia’s Best Gin.
Terry and the team from Soi38 have curated a specially crafted menu for Winter Gin Dinner guests and your evening will be soundtracked by the musical stylings of Soi38’s very own Jacqui Lim.
If an evening of pure indulgence in The Hills sounds right up your alley but you’re still somewhat on the fence, let me seal the deal for you by sharing just some of what you can expect to see on the menu for the evening.
Caramelised pulled pork/ sago cracker and “Miang kham” betel leaf wrap with blue swimmer crabs and toasted coconut will start your evening followed by grilled wagyu rump salad with roasted rice powder and garden salad and dessert is something along the lines of a mini mango cheesecake. Mouth watering? Thought so. Tickets for this one are limited so get in quick to avoid disappointment!
