imagesThe Adelaide Music Collective, which was put together by a group of musicians to highlight local talent, will be holding it’s 9th Session at The Goodwood Institute on Friday 10th July.

Headlining the event will be folk singer/songwriter Eric Bogle – best known for “And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda” and “No Man’s Land” which,  following a title it was given by The Fureys,  is more commonly known as “The Green Fields of France”.

Also performing will be Dave Blight, who started playing harmonica with Cold Chisel in 1974, and Bluegrass singer/songwriter Trev Warner who has been a major part of the great Australian Bluegrass scene having worked and recorded with Karen Lynne, The Bluegrass Allstars, and The Davidson Brothers.  Rounding up the bill will be Julia Henning who recently played WOMAdelaide along with up and coming singer songwriter Tara Carragher.
Following the sad passing of David “Daisy” Day who initiated the SA Music Hall of Fame many years ago the event will now be hosted by well known radio announcer John Pemberton.

Inductees into the SA Music Hall of Fame, Eric Bogle and Trev Warner, will be joined by singer and guitarist Patsy Biscoe, notable for her appearances in children’s television shows Here’s Humphrey and Fat Cat and Friends. She has also released many children’s albums and has sold in excess of 500,000 units in her musical career. John Reynolds is also being inducted for his contribution to the Adelaide Music Retailing Industry and establishing the John Reynolds Drum Corp and drumming education in Adelaide for over 50 years.
