AMM has reopened its doors in Pulteney Street this month showering the CBD with bagels and brews.

The popular café originally traded as a general café with an emphasis on healthy food, but has recently rebranded with a total makeover and a bagel focus.

Brought to you by Tania Basheer – the owner of popular Unley café A Mother’s Milk – AMM is the offspring with a challenging start after opening during COVID in 2020. Tania said the rebrand brings a fresh start to the venue for 2022, with a third venue of the cards for the exciting year ahead.

With the two-year anniversary of the Pulteney Street spot approaching in April, Tania said the new vibe brings a more unique niche offering to the CBD.

“We knew we might face challenges opening during COVID but I did not shy away from that. We just kept going,” she says.

The menu features 10 bagel flavour combinations, however, customers also have the option to customise if they are struggling to make a choice between the tasty items available. Customers can look forward to a variety of sweet and savoury options with peanut butter or a loaded breaky bagel with egg and bacon.

Tania says the inspiration for the AMM menu comes from a focus on seasonal produce and products.

“We wanted to provide our customers with something different. Something that was quick, easy, wholesome and healthy. Bagels fit the bill,” she says.

“I’ve been in the industry for over 25 years, so our menu has been developed using what I’ve seen across the industry and my travels across Australia and overseas.

“I am the chef and I put a part of me into every bagel. It’s like you are coming to my house. Everything I serve, I would eat.”

Tania has even recruited her mother to inspire the signature Lebanese bagel.

The bagel contains the secret family Za’atar recipe that leaves visitors wanting more.

The focus for AMM Pulteney location or anything A Mother’s Milk touches is their customers.

“Our customers become friends,” Tania said.

“You can have a coffee anywhere, but we know everything about our customers.”

Over 200 bagels are flying out AMM doors weekly with a third location on the horizon.

AMM is located at 255 Pulteney Street, Adelaide and operates from 7am to 3pm.
