People may come for the wine, but at Bird in Hand’s House of Vino, they’ll likely leave with a full belly, tired feet and a few new favourite reds.
Introducing a new kind of soiree to the Winter Reds scene, Bird in Hand is bringing some of South Australia’s most in-demand DJs, including Alex Hosking and Opposites Attract, to its Adelaide Hills home turf.
Rather than a quiet cellar door tasting, this one is designed to feel more like a wine-fuelled day party, with music, shared food and plenty of reds flowing.
When you arrive at the winery, what awaits is the Barrel Hall, a beautiful space that turns into a bit of a euro dance floor for the boogie enthusiasts.
It’s all set up and ready to go, and all that is left is you.
For a taste of the menu, picture arancini balls and house-made sandwiches, paired with a good Pinot Noir.
Wines available on the day include A wide portfolio of Bird in Hand’s premium cool-climate wines and lighter-style reds.
Not keen on driving, and can’t find a designated driver to do it for you? A return bus service is available, with pick-up and drop-off at the Arkaba Hotel at 150 Glen Osmond Road, Fullarton.
The bus departs the Arkaba Hotel at 10.30am and arrives at Bird in Hand Winery at 11.30am. The return bus will depart Bird in Hand Winery at 4.45pm and arrive back at the Arkaba Hotel at 5.45pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early, as the driver will not wait.
As the event is expected to be popular and capacity is limited, booking ahead is strongly recommended.
