Adelaide’s coastline will come to life with world-class music this weekend as Electric Island returns to South Australia for another unforgettable beachside celebration. Following a massive debut in 2025, the beloved electronic music festival is back, bigger and bolder, bringing an electrifying lineup to Glenelg Beach on Saturday, April 11th.
After drawing huge crowds last year with headline performances from global superstars Hayden James and Duke Dumont, the 2026 edition is definitely going to turn up the heat. This year’s event is expected to be twice the size, transforming the iconic shoreline into a dancefloor where thousands of music lovers will come together for one of the season’s most anticipated events.
Leading the Adelaide lineup is legendary trance trio Above & Beyond, known for their euphoric soundscapes, emotional performances and devoted global fanbase. Joining them is house music pioneer Armand Van Helden, whose decades-spanning career includes dancefloor anthems like My My My and I Want Your Soul, as well as the global hit Barbara Streisand with Duck Sauce.
Adding to the excitement, Australian electronic favourites Flight Facilities will deliver a DJ set packed with their signature blend of disco, house and feel-good energy. From Crave You to Clair de Lune, their catalogue has become synonymous with the soundtrack of summer. Rounding out the Adelaide bill are respected names from the underground and club scenes, including Late Nite Tuff Guy, Audioporn and Felicity.
Known for pairing world-class electronic acts with stunning outdoor locations, Electric Island has built a reputation as one of the country’s most sought-after dance events. With ocean views, golden sunsets and a vibrant crowd dancing barefoot on the sand, the Glenelg edition offers a festival experience unlike any other.
Adelaide’s show will kick off the festival’s national tour before heading to Melbourne and Perth, as well as a newly announced Sydney sideshow. Presented by T1000 Events, the independent team behind Electric Gardens, Electric Island has quickly cemented its place as a cornerstone of Australia’s electronic music scene. After a sold-out 2025 series that drew more than 25,000 fans, its return signals an exciting new chapter for the beloved festival.
Electric Island takes place at Glenelg Beach on Saturday, April 11th, from 2pm to 10pm.
