Head to Unley this February for some magical star gazing and musical extraordinaire as An Evening Under the Stars returns in 2022.
Heading to the Unley Soldiers Memorial Gardens on February 12, the event will celebrate its 10th show; it comes at a perfect time to support traders and thank the community for their support during this trying period.
The Unley Road Association have states that this year An Evening Under the Stars will be next level with Gospo Collective as the powerhouse act for the evening, supported by Malibu Drive.
Gospo Collective are an outstanding act and always a sell out at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
After recently cancelling their 2022 run at the Fringe, The Unley Road Association are so excited that they will be on stage, under the stars, for their event.
Gospo Collective Director, Conductor and Arranger, Charmaine Jones, is reputed for her vocal stylings, influenced by her musical journey through life which in turn creates a unique and powerful ‘choral experience’.
The group is renowned nationwide for their choral ensemble where African rhythm meets western harmony, and worlds of hymns and hip-hop collide.
Gospo Collective have won a number of awards with Weekly Award for Best Music after their 2017 Gospolation performance and again in 2018 for their Jackson vs Jackson show where they were joined by Hugh Sheridan.
An Evening Under the Stars kicks off the Support Local Business which is an only Unley Road Festival. It encourages everyone to support the businesses on Unley Road and will run from February 12 to March 12.
Every year, the Unley Road Association picks an Adelaide charity to support as part of the event; this year they are proud to announce their support for Breakthrough Mental Health Foundation, Australia’s only dedicated mental health research foundation.
An Evening Under the Stars is proudly supported by Hamilton MG, Mix 102.3, Channel 9 Adelaide, City of Unley, Gas Works Unley, the Metro Shopping Centre, Raine and Horne Unley, Alfred James Unley, Pickle in the Middle and the Unley Shopping Centre.
These major partners enable the Unley Road Association to bring this community event to the Soldier’s Memorial Garden free to the public. They also thank Vili’s, AMA Security, Supersound production and AVI film productions.
Unley Road Association has worked closely with SA Health over the past few months to ensure this event can take place as a covid safe event.
An Evening Under the Stars will take place at Unley Soldiers Memorial Garden, Cnr Unley Road and Thomas St, Unley on Saturday 12 February.
Gates open at 6pm. Concert starts at 8pm.
