Iconic South Australian brand, MOO Premium Foods, is celebrating a decade of premium yoghurt since its launch in 2005. What most of us don’t know however, is that it all stemmed from a trip to France.
Founder and Managing Director, Mick Sanders, and wife Sally, travelled to France over ten years ago, where they discovered high-quality yoghurt in little glass jars.
“The yoghurt was like nothing we were used to at home, and so the idea of making a similar product for the Australian market and the inception of MOO was born.”
Under the helm of Mick and Sally, MOO has grown to become a major South Australian manufacturer, with plans to distribute nationally and globally within the next few years.
Sanders said the 10 year milestone was a fantastic achievement for the organisation, whose policy has always been to source the best, natural ingredients, first and foremost from SA suppliers.
“We are big supporters of buying local, and have worked exceptionally hard to create great products and a strong brand.”
MOO Premium Foods is now stocked in over 300 supermarkets, independent retailers, schools, cafes and hotels across the state, including their Premium Yoghurts, Everyday Yoghurts, Dahi Indian-Style Yoghurt (which is amazing for smoothies!) and their iconic Rice Pudding.
