‘An Iranian Food Journey’ brings a series of dishes inspired by Iranian authors and their cookbooks

‘An Iranian Food Journey’ will bring authentic Iranian cuisine and cultural connection to the Adelaide Hills, all in support of refugee communities.

‘An Iranian Food Journey’ is set to transport Adelaide Hills diners with a night of flavours, culture, and connection, all while supporting refugee communities.

The event invites guests to share in entrees, mains, and desserts that celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Iran. Each dish draws directly from the work of Iranian authors and their cookbooks, with stories served alongside every recipe. Beyond the food, it’s a chance to connect with culture while helping to create a welcoming and inclusive future.

Hosted by Circle of Friends Australia Incorporated, a 100% volunteer refugee support group, the fundraiser offers two different experiences.

The Olive Branch Cafe in Balhannah will host intimate dinners on Friday 24 October and Saturday 25 October, with special menus complemented by a raffle on the night. Guests are welcome to either bring their own bottles or purchase drinks at the cafe, and dietary needs can be catered for with advance booking.

If you’re after a bigger celebration, Four Oaks Farm in Littlehampton will hold ‘An Iranian Food Journey’ on Saturday 13 December as part of Cultured. Festival 2025.

Cultured. is an Adelaide Hills event that celebrates multicultural life in South Australia. Set against the peaceful backdrop of Four Oaks Farm, the festival features cooking demonstrations, workshops, live music, food stalls, family-friendly activities and a multicultural evening celebration. You can explore the farm, meet the animals, and relax under shady gum trees while sampling food from around the world.

An Iranian Food Journey will form part of this program, as an immersive way to experience Iranian cuisine and culture while contributing to refugee support.

Across both venues, every plate served will help Circle of Friends Australia continue its work supporting refugees through practical assistance and community connection.

Tickets are now available, with all proceeds going directly to refugee support.
