Angelakis Bros open Mediterranean inspired stall at Adelaide Central Market

SA’s most renowned seafood retailer has just opened its first stall in the Adelaide Central Market.

Just in time for what many are predicting will be a bumper festive season for all things seafood, the Angelakis Bros have today opened their first Mediterranean inspired Adelaide Central Market stall, just across the way from its sixty-year-old shop inside Central Market Arcade.

Adding a range of ready-to-eat smoked fish and poultry products, as well as a brand new menu that includes sashimi, poke bowls, fish tacos and signature fish and chips, the famous fishmongers are predicting they’ll sell more than 1.2 tonnes of SA prawns for Christmas.

“Our new market store will be stocking all of the popular locally sourced Christmas products our customers love, including SA king prawns, crayfish and oysters from the west coast,” said Angelakis Bros and Barossa Fine Foods CEO Andreas Knoll.

“We’re also excited to be showcasing our new menu of ‘grab-and-go’ seafood options, made from our favorite SA seafood.”

“With more people staying at home this year, we encourage people to get in early, as we’re expecting to sell out.”

To celebrate the new location, they’re putting SA crayfish on special for $79.95 per kilo, and have established a loyalty program with loads of member benefits.

Called the ‘Fine Foodies Rewards’ program, the membership card is available in-store to all Angelakis Bros customers, (as well as stable-mates Barossa Fine Foods and Standom Smallgoods), with points accruing every time you shop.

Double points are available on new products and promotions, and once you reach 500 points, you can expect $10 off your next purchase. In addition, members will be notified early of in-store specials, competitions, and invited to one-off VIP events.

Points can also be accumulated via their online stores, but must be redeemed in-store.

Well-known among South Australian seafood lovers, the Angelakis Bros brand has been a staple of the Central Market shopping experience for decades.

“South Australians can expect a whole new seafood experience and a fantastic range of local seasonal seafood products to enjoy,” said Adelaide Central Market Authority General Manager Jodie Kannane.

“We are delighted to welcome Angelakis Bros to our market.”

Angelakis Bros @ Adelaide Central Market stall 5 & 6 will be operating 7-days a week in the lead up to Christmas.
