Angove Family Winemakers has appointed former Adelaide East End Cellars chef Georgie Rogers at its rapidly evolving McLaren Vale Cellar Door.

Known for Spanish flair and expertise in food and wine pairing, cheese and smallgoods and a vision for working closely with local sustainable suppliers, Georgie’s wine-friendly cuisine will certainly be a welcome addition to the McLaren Vale food scene.

While the full reveal of the new Angove McLaren Vale’s Cellar Door is yet to come, Georgie is making her debut with a Grenache and Gourmet Duck ‘6-ways’ lunch, as part of the 2-week McLaren Vale Grenache and Gourmet Festival that started last Friday.

The intimate lunches for fourteen people are being hosted in the newly renovated Brightlands Wine Room – so named after the original Tea Tree Gully cellar where founder Dr William Thomas Angove crafted his first wines in the late 1800s.

The event will showcase Angove Warboys Vineyard Grenache among the wines served, heralded as one of Australia’s finest grenaches.

So join Angove for a glimpse into its new culinary and tasting venue that promises to add vibrancy and unique, new experiences to this important national wine region.
