Hot from the cabaret stages of London and Paris, with another hit season at the Melbourne Fringe under her belt, one of Australia’s premier starlets of circus returns to Adelaide with her second full length show.

With the formidable directing force of sisters Anni Davey (Circus Oz) and Maude Davey (The Burlesque Hour), plus music mixed and performed live on stage by Thomas Butt (DJ Lazer Ferrari, True Live), Anna Lumb’s latest creation is an engrossing, sultry circus theatre experience.

Inspired by 30’s broadway legends, 60’s rock idols and 80’s cult figures, I Heart Jack tells the story of one man through the eyes of three characters whose lives intertwine: A fading cabaret singer, a troubled young socialite, and the enigmatic Jack himself.

A rich and surreal narrative recounting the events of a single night in a nameless time and place, told with skill and flair through music, circus, physical theatre, comedy, costume and film. I Heart Jack is a darkly comical, strangely alluring, gin-soaked foray into love, death and chance encounters.
