Another small bar in Adelaide is set to shut its doors. 55ml, a popular craft brew and cocktail bar located on Mill Street, just off Gouger Street in the CBD, will close permanently this June.
“I’m sad to say that another great small bar in Adelaide is about to close permanently,” a post to Facebook said.
“On the 29th of June we will be celebrating our last night of being your favourite alleyway dive bar.
“Please bring along as many friends as possible to join the party and we’ll make sure everyone has an awesome time!”
To bid farewell, 55ml is hosting a special event on Saturday night, June 8th, where DJ Sepia will return for a one-night-only celebration of international reggae, jungle, and dancehall music.
“Come party with us at DJ Sepia presents Yard Style (ft. Sparrow Uganja & DJ Trillix) – FREE ENTRY this Saturday night… ’cause after June, the venue will be but a memory…” another post to Facebook said.
The night kicks off at 10pm, with DJ Sepia spinning both old and new school reggae and hip hop, warming up for a live performance by special guest MC Sparrow Uganja from Uganda, who will perform songs from his latest album.
After midnight, the party will shift into gear with heavy dancehall and jungle music, as DJ Trillix from South Sudan joins DJ Sepia.
With 55ml officially closing its doors on the 29th of June, it will be one of the last opportunities to celebrate this great small bar. Don’t miss to chance to enjoy a free entry event, party into the night and celebrate with 55ml tomorrow night.
