April Forks Day to kick off West Torrens’ Westival event series

Celebrate April Fool’s Day with some food on your fork! This food truck extravaganza will feature 15 food trucks, 5 live bands, and kid friendly activities.

April Fool’s Day is traditionally reserved for practical jokes and hoaxes, but instead of being fooled – why not be forked instead?

Fork on the Road is partnering up with the City of West Torrens for the annual Fork in the West – A.K.A April Forks Day!

The premier mobile food truck event series, Fork on the Road, was first established in 2012 and has since produced over 75 free community events, hosted over 300,000 guests, and supported over 50 local food trucks.

This event is kicking off the City of West Torrens’ “Westival” series, which will be bringing across various parks and venues in the West.

Fifteen of some of Adelaide’s best food trucks will be attending this Friday’s event: Bonnie’s Vegan Van, El Gringos Mexican Street Food, Sozas, Coffee and Crepes, Paella Bar SA, CAROclub, Hokey Pokey, Tacocat, Uncle Doc’s, The Satay Hut, WienerBago, El Diablo, Bab’s Greek BBQ, Beyond India, and the EM Espresso Martini Van.

The EM Espresso Martini Van regularly visits locations across SA, like Barrister Block Wines ‘Festival on the Field’, Tea Tree Garden’s ‘Summer Garden Festival’, and now April Fork’s Day.

The Fork Bar will also be serving a variety of local wines, beers and mixers – much to our delight! A pop up brewery and distillery is also due to be announced very shortly, so keep your eyes peeled on the Fork on the Ground social pages.

Five local artists will also be taking to the stage throughout the evening: Lila Cove, Mark Curtis and the Flannelettes, Maisie B, Isaac Thomas Music, and Lucinda Martin.

If an evening of delicious food local drinks and live music wasn’t enough, there’s also an array of free kids activities coming to April Fork’s, including the Amazing Drumming Monkeys, Nylon Zoo’s Inflatable Storytelling Theatre, CircoBats roving Circus and takeaway arts and crafts.

April Fork’s Day sounds like a fabulous way to kick off “Westival” with all your friends and family.
