The oyster-eating challenge will be held this Thursday, October 23 at 6.30pm in the Oasis Kitchen and Bar on level one of the Casino.

Whoever can down 36 of the finest oysters the fastest will win a $500 voucher to the Casino’s new flagship restaurant, Sean’s Kitchen.

“South Australia is known for its spectacular seafood and Coffin Bay oysters are considered some of the best in the world,” says the Casino’s marketing strategy and communications manager Verity Moreland.

“The oyster-eating world record was set in the UK back in 2005 when 233 oysters were eaten in three minutes – that’s 1.3 oysters per second!

“We’re not asking Adelaide to beat that, but we do want to find the city’s fastest oyster eater and the reward is worth chasing – a voucher to Sean’s Kitchen, run by award-winning chef Sean Connolly who also has a real passion for oysters.”

Just $30 secures your place in Thursday’s challenge.

Registrations are open until 6pm Thursday and can be made in person at the Casino’s Chandelier Bar (ground floor) or from 5pm on Thursday at Oasis Kitchen and Bar (level one).
