Art And Wine Combine For The Battle For Barossa

A collaboration between some of our favourite wine and art is coming together thanks to the eternal shrine to wine and beauty, Instagram!

Emergent, hope-evoking local Adelaide artist Leah Grant was contacted by Chaffey Bros. Wine Co. wine maker Daniel Chaffey Hartwig through Instagram in August 2015, with the idea to work on a new project together.

Initially Leah was commissioned by brothers Daniel and Theo to create one image for a new wine label, however after being presented with a range of concepts, the brothers couldn’t decide, and the selection kept expanding.

What has resulted, are seven new works for a 2016 series, that feature across 3 new Grenache releases, on 7 labels. Two wines are being labeled with three different designs, to really showcase what Leah has created. Not bad considering Leah has never created artwork for a wine label before!

The wines, and labels are being launched at a joint exhibition ‘Battle For Barossa‘ on July 13th at The Gallery, which is open to the public to come along, enjoy, consume and purchase.

If you come along, you’ll even receive an exclusive sneak peek of a small batch “PAX AETERNUS”.

Leah however, will need to wait until the end of the year to enjoy her bottles of Grenache, as she’s expecting her best creation yet, baby Grant, due in November.
