Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera announce new National Tour ‘As Seen on TV’

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under contestants, Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera, are coming to Adelaide in July as part of their new National Tour.

Look out Australia! Two of the country’s biggest drag powerhouses, Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera, are hitting the road in 2022 to live out the ultimate Priscilla fantasy on their upcoming national tour AS SEEN ON TV!

As Seen on TV is a hilarious drag extravaganza with your two favourite Down Under divas, Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera. With 15 years of drag under their corsets, they both appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under earlier this year and are now bringing their fabulousness straight to your backyard.

Come along for the ride as they break the fourth wall and perform side-splitting numbers about their misadventures in drag and on screen in a slew of metro and regional venues nationwide. With all the drama of your favourite soap opera and the glamour of a late night infomercial, Art and Etcetera will give you backstage access to your favourite television shows – live and uncut.

It’s always been a dream of mine to tour Australia – all the way from woop woop to the red centre – and share my love of drag. To be able to do this and also create safe and inclusive spaces for all, makes it a dead-set bucket-list moment. I’m stoked!” said Art Simone.

Drag is for everyone! There’s nothing that excites me more than travelling around the country spreading the joy of self-expression. I’m so excited to tour with my sister Art Simone and give Australia a real look inside our minds! Let’s hope they like what they find!” said Etcetera Etcetera.

In addition to the live show, the duo will also be conducting intimate pre-show Drag 101 workshops in a selection of towns on the tour.

Presented by NYX Professional Makeup, their Backstage Beauty School is a unique opportunity to watch two industry legends transform from drab to fab while sharing their top-secret tips and tricks. Walk away with a free giftbag from NYX Professional Makeup and all the know-how to bring your inner queen to life. Spots are strictly limited though so be sure to secure yours quick.

“At Nyx Professional Make-Up we stand for PROUD ARTISTRY FOR ALL. The brand is focussed on driving boldness, colour and the freedom to allow everyone to create with inclusivity. Backstage Beauty School is the perfect partnership for Nyx Professional Make-Up ensuring makeup is accessible to all communities of Australia. We are so excited for this adventure!” said Nyx Professional Make-Up Marketing Director, Alexandra Shadbolt.

For a lot of trans and gender diverse people, makeup is a tool to face the adversity of day-to-day life. In our series of workshops, we want to give a safe space for everyday Australians to discover how to express their inner beauty and have the confidence to be exactly who they are inside!” said Etcetera Etcetera.

“For me, makeup was the gateway into a world of drag and self-expression. It was a perfect mix of escapism and self-exploration and was key to me forming my sense of identity. It will be an absolute joy to share over 10 years of industry experience with attendees as they get the rare opportunity to peek behind the curtain, in an informal and informative environment,” said Art Simone.
