The Experiment, the debut record from Australia’s foremost party-starters Art vs Science, debuted at #2 on the ARIA Chart this week, the highest charting local act and a mere 68 units behind the #1 perennial mother’s favourite Michael Buble. This none the less impressive result is true testament to the band’s hard work, countless live performances and every growing loyal fanbase, built steadily over the past two years around the country.
Art vs Science are on a bit of a high at the moment – they were delivered the good chart news coming off stage after an exhilarating set at this weekend’s Future Music Festival in Brisbane, where the band proved to be one of the day’s highlights, pulling one of the biggest crowds with their late afternoon, main stage set.
The next single from The Experiment is A.I.M. Fire!, an irresistible jam that will help you spring out of bed in the morning. Already a live favourite, the track is trademark Art vs Science, with its bouncing chorus and signature feel-good vibes. Be sure to keep an eye out for the inventive clip by J Award winning director SPOD, coming soon, as well as a remix by triple j fave (and up and coming producer) The Immigrant.
Art vs Science continue to support the Chemical Brothers and play the Future Music Festivals over the next week before heading to the States for several appearances at SXSW Music Festival in Austin and a US tour, returning home just in time to appear at triple j’s One Night Stand, held this year in Tumby Bay, South Australia on Saturday 2nd April.
