Tucked away down the winding roads of Adelaide Hills is the picturesque winery Ten Miles East, who have just launched a new offering of exclusive food pairing evenings, featuring their full range of artisan wines.
Hosted in the Cellar Door, which is in the original refurbished cidery building, the adjoining winery production area is chock full of barrels of Ten Miles Easts’ delicious small-batch wines.
Featuring lush scenery including a manicured garden which overlooks the water of the estate dam, during the summer months, guests will be able to enjoy their degustation outdoors on a picnic rug, overlooking the water.
The intimate presentation allows groups of 10-15 to book out the entire cellar door for a private tasting experience, matching exquisite dishes that highlight each of the full range of Ten Miles East wines with a knowledgeable explanation of each pairing at your table by acclaimed chef Mark McNamara.
Developed by Mark and Ten Miles East’s cellar door manager and wine guru Chris Eerden, the duo are bringing decades of experience in the wine and hospitality industry to create this intimate dining offering for those looking to go slightly off the beaten track for their next wine tasting experience.
The exclusive degustation evenings are available throughout the week and provide guests with a seated dining experience incorporating a delicious six course menu, perfectly matched to six of Ten Miles East’s artisan wine, made using estate-grown fruit.
Giving you and your friends the chance to have the run of the winery for one evening of food, wine and great company, the industrial brick barn-style winery provides an atmospheric backdrop, with fairy lights strung across the courtyard, and a crackling outdoor fire providing warmth at any time of year.
The secrecy of the menu for your exclusive evening at Ten Miles East adds to the intimate feeling of the evening, with food kept under wraps until it comes out on the table. Dietary requirements including those who are gluten-free or vegan are always catered for, meaning no one misses out on this incredible experience.
The small-batch artisan venue also hosts monthly collaborations on the last weekend of each month, working with local chefs to create a limited-time only menu of a variety of dishes.
Previous chefs the venue have worked with include Michelin-star trained Josh Lansley, Fugazzi’s Cal Stuart-Bishop and renowned chef Glen Carr, with each chef hand-crafting their tailored menu which include three to four main course, dessert and cheese options.
Booking the six course tasting experience will set you back $175pp.
Each group booking needs to be made seven days in advance by emailing Ten Miles East at [email protected] or calling cellar door manager Chris at 0411 341 310.
