In the lead up to the SALA festival it seemed an appropriate time to profile one of Adelaide’s local artists: Mark Lobert.

Mark Lobert is a well-known Australian artist producing unique abstract works, now recognized and being sold all over the world.  We were lucky enough to have a chat with Mark, and he informed us about his recent move to his new studio, upcoming exhibitions and inspiring workshops offered to the public.

For Mark, everything is about sharing the joy of painting, and telling stories through colour and imagery.  “I’m an artist and I love what I do.  I use every minute I can to express myself on canvas.  Everything is an inspiration” says Mark.

Mark Lobert Gallery is one of Adelaide’s newest art exhibition spaces.  Located in the vibrant Port Adelaide district, the gallery offers an inspiring and dynamic range of fine art delivered by the talented artist.  More and more people are learning about Mark and his work through the gallery and loving his work.

The talented Adelaide-based artist will have his artwork displayed at events such as the Adelaide Airport Exhibition beginning on the 31st of July and the SALA Festival taking place from 5-8 August 2011.  Mark’s original and brilliant artworks will be displayed at both of these free events.

Mark is also currently offering Art workshops at the Mark Lobert Gallery for corporate and team building opportunities. Mark suggests the Art workshops to people who are interested in building on team dynamics while having some great fun exploring creativity and learning more about the process for creating a canvas.  “All materials are provided; all you need to bring is your imagination!” Says Mark.
