Stunning woodside winery Artwine is delivering twins! (But not in the way you think…)
The picturesque cellar door has announced two brand new Proseccos, lovingly named Bianca and Rosa launching on the 26 June.
With complimentary tastings available this weekend, both of the delicious bubblies will be available to purchase from 26 June exclusively at the Artwine cellar door, which boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook thieir incredible vineyards. For those that can’t make the trip this weekend to taste these two new tipples, you can nab yourself a bottle at the Artwine website.
Founded by Judy and Glen Kelly, Artwine has been in operation since 2008, but suffered a devastating start to 2020 after losing their entire Adelaide Hills vintage to the bushfires, through a combination of fire damage and smoke taint.

This weekend’s launch marks Artwine’s foray back into creating their incredibly popular Prosecco, with the Woodside cellar door establishing themselves as the first in the Adelaide Hills to produce an estate grown Prosecco since 2016.
Artwine’s Prosecco professionals pick their grapes at the crack of dawn while its still cool, then move onto crush immediately. The wine undergoes a ferment which creates the essential base, which once completed is poured into a stainless steel tank for another round of fermentation. This second stage is what creates the all-important sparkles in the Prosecco (also known as the Charmat method).
Once bubbled to perfection the Prosecco is filtered and bottled, the culmination of an intricate, six-month process from the first pick to the final bottling.
Co-owner of Artwine, Judy, describes Bianca and Rosa as the perfect aperitifs, deliciously light and easy drinking sparkles that are perfect for any time of day.
“Our Prosecco is light, crisp and fresh and matches beautifully to a brunch such as a cheese platter or canapés, or even some smoked salmon blinis, prawns or sushi” she says.
“Bianca is floral and fruity on the nose, reminiscent of a refreshing plate of fruit salad with notes of citrus and grapefruit. Rosa has similarly fresh notes but with added hints of sweet berry flavour.”
Those who still might turn their nose up at Prosecco in favour of its older sister Champagne, are way behind the times, with Prosecco sales far surpassing those of Champagne around the world.
For Prosecco lovers, news of Artwine’s Bianca and Rosa will be music to their ears, with the cellar door amassing a loyal following of those with a passion for prosecco, and their previous vintage voted as one of the Top 3 Australian Prosecco’s in 2020 by the Wine & Viticulture Journal.
ABV of Bianca and Rosa is 11% with the Bianca retailing for $25 and Rosa $28.
