Adelaide foodies, get excited! From today, the Asia Oasis Street Food Festival is touching down in Glenelg for the ultimate beachside foodie extravaganza.
With a very fitting theme of ‘Love by the Sea’, this year’s festival runs over the Valentine’s Day weekend, from February 13th to 16th, at Jimmy Melrose Park on the Glenelg Foreshore. There will be over 20 Asian food vendors at this four-day celebration, serving up 100 unique dishes, each rich in tradition and passion.
This year, each day will be broken down into a different theme, celebrating love in a variety of ways.

Day 1 will be focused on self-love. Treat yourself to indulgent food and uplifting experiences that remind you to celebrate yourself. Day 2 is Valentine’s Day, so bring your Valentine and enjoy the bustling sounds of cooking, eating, and laughter in the festival area. You and your Valentine can also pre-book a romantic dining experience on a private beachfront. This area is beautifully decorated with cherry blossoms, bamboo umbrellas, and glowing lanterns.
Day 3 is all about friendship, so grab your friends and enjoy a special shared menu. Take the time to hang a complimentary friendship ribbon on the cherry blossom tree. Finally, Day 4 celebrates family!
Play traditional games, share heartfelt stories, and taste comforting dishes that feel like a warm hug from home. Conclude your family celebration by hanging a complimentary colourful paper crane on the cherry blossom tree.

“The festival is really immersive,” shared Nalina Okey from the team at Asia Oasis.
“All of our food vendors cook from rustic huts, which are set up in a village style. When attendees go to the festival it feels like they’re actually stepping into an Asian village, in a little leafy oasis. That’s the vibe we’re aiming for.”
Each vendor goes through a rigorous selection process by the team to make sure the food is as authentic and delicious as possible. Plus, you won’t find any food trucks, instead, you’ll be immersed in a world that feels like you’ve been transported across the world.
Outside of these awesome themes and all the delicious food, there’ll be a diverse lineup of entertainment including cultural performances, in both traditional and contemporary art, lion dances, traditional costume shows, plus cultural folk games and activities for the whole family.

Enjoy the ambience in a nostalgic village setting with Bali huts and charming Hoi An lanterns or browse the unique artisan gifts at market stalls. There’s something for everyone!
“There’s also a lot of beautiful, colourful lanterns hung around the festival, all the stage decorations are cohesive with the theme. It makes you feel lost in ‘this world’ and totally disconnected from everything else.”
The Asia Oasis team has been holding events around the country since 2022, aiming to bring Asia’s cultural experience to Australia in its authentic form through delicious food, arts, and music. Come down and enjoy delicious food, and hang out with friends and family, all in a stunning setting this weekend.
