Asian Street Food Bazaar returns to Adelaide CBD this September with sizzling eats and live music

Adelaide’s Asian Street Food Bazaar returns this September with two days of sizzling eats, live music, and vibrant market vibes.

Adelaide’s Asian Street Food Bazaar is back with its spring edition, set to fill the CBD with flavour, music, and a festive market atmosphere.

Running over Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September, the event will take place at The Market Shed on Holland Street, bringing together a curated selection of food vendors alongside live entertainment. From 12pm until 9:30pm each day, it’s all about celebrating the tastes and spirit of Asia in the heart of the city.

After a hugely successful debut on Franklin Street last year, the bazaar has quickly grown into one of those markets you can’t help but pencil into your calendar. For this edition, hosts 88 Asia Bazaar are bringing more food vendors serving everything from smoky squid skewers to sweet treats.

This spring edition promises to be “bigger, brighter, and tastier than ever.” The team has listened closely to feedback from visitors, and one of the biggest changes is a significant increase in seating areas. Previous editions were loved for their vibrant atmosphere, but guests wanted more places to sit, relax, and enjoy their food. Visitors can also expect new stallholders serving fresh, seasonal dishes and creative twists on classic street food.

Street food is at the heart of 88 Asia Bazaar, and curating the right mix of stallholders is key. The team carefully selects vendors based on authenticity, quality, and variety, ensuring different regions, cultures, and food styles are represented. This spring, they’ve worked hard to balance returning favourites with new vendors, giving visitors the chance to discover something new every time they visit.

Beyond the food, the markets are known for their lively atmosphere, complete with music and entertainment. Capturing that festive, community vibe is central to the experience. “Street food in Asia isn’t just about eating, it’s about the energy, the music, and the community around it,” organisers say.
