Assaggio announced as Best Italian Restaurant at National Awards

Last night South Australian restaurants and caterers were recognised at the Restaurant and Catering Industry's National Awards for Excellence. At a glittering event at Brisbane Convention & Conference Centre, Brisbane witnessed by over 400 guests, the South Australian industry was recognised for providing excellent quality in a highly competitive market.

South Australian restaurant Assaggio in Hyde Park took home the coveted Best Italian Restaurant Award.

The venues are assessed using the RACES (Restaurant & Catering Evaluation System) system of restaurant assessment. This is a 55 point judging tool which is owned and used exclusively by Restaurant and Catering Australia. Almost two thousand restaurants were visited and judged to provide them with the comprehensive list of the who's who in the Australian restaurant and catering industry.

The winner of Best Restaurant overall is Eleonore’s Restaurant – Chateau Yering Hotel – Yearing – VIC and the Best Caterer overall is Eurest (Australia) – Westpac Banking Group, Sydney – NSW.
