Astronaut Chris Hadfield returns to Australia on national tour, with stories, music, and never seen space imagery

The first Canadian to walk in space, astronaut Chris Hadfield, returns to Australia in 2025 for a tour filled with captivating space imagery, personal stories from his missions, interactive Q&A sessions, and live music performances.

Colonel Chris Hadfield, a celebrated Canadian astronaut, is set to make a much-anticipated return to Australia in July 2025. Renowned for his remarkable contributions to space exploration, Hadfield will embark on a national tour, captivating audiences with his unique insights and experiences from beyond our atmosphere.

The tour, titled “Chris Hadfield’s Guide to the Cosmos,” promises to offer attendees an awe-inspiring exploration of discovery through never-before-seen space imagery of Earth, the Moon, Mars, and more. With scheduled events across major cities including Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide, the tour will combine an array of personal anecdotes, advanced space technology insights, and a showcase of Hadfield’s musical talent.

Pre-sales have kicked off this week, with all tickets on sale on Thursday February 20th.

Hadfield, whose career includes serving as a spaceship commander and becoming the first Canadian to walk in space, has flown on three spaceflights. Some of his notable missions include facilitating the docking of the Space Shuttle Atlantis with the Mir space station and installing the Canadarm2—a robotic system—on the International Space Station (ISS) during his time on STS-100.

Beyond his space exploration achievements, Hadfield has also made a name for himself as a best-selling author and a motivational speaker, engaging audiences worldwide with his narratives and insights. He aims to continue this engagement through his upcoming tour.
