Astronaut Scott Kelly brings ‘The Sky is Not the Limit’ to Adelaide in rare live space exploration event

Former NASA astronaut Captain Scott Kelly is bringing his acclaimed live experience The Sky is Not the Limit: Lessons from a Year in Space to Adelaide.

Former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly is heading to Adelaide this November, sharing extraordinary stories from his record-breaking year in space and what it means for the future of lunar and Mars exploration.

Scott Kelly will appear at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Wednesday, November 18th, as part of a national tour celebrating one of the most extraordinary human endurance missions in modern history.

Scott is best known for his record-breaking 340-day mission aboard the International Space Station, a ‘Year in Space’ that saw him travel more than 140 million miles and orbit Earth over 8,000 times. The mission wasn’t just a milestone in exploration, but a critical step in preparing humanity for long-duration journeys to the Moon and Mars.

In 2026, with NASA’s Artemis program already reshaping the future of lunar exploration and long-term deep space travel, Scott’s insights into life beyond Earth have never felt more relevant.

Across the live event, Scott will take audiences inside the realities of spaceflight, from the physical and psychological demands of isolation to the precision teamwork required to survive in an environment where there is no room for error.

A veteran test pilot with more than 15,000 flight hours across over 40 aircraft and spacecraft, Scott has spent his career pushing the limits of human capability. His experience covers more than 200 million miles travelled beyond Earth, making him one of the most experienced astronauts of his generation.

But beyond the technical milestones, Scott’s story is also one of resilience, leadership and perspective, themes he brings to life through candid storytelling and rarely-seen moments from his time aboard the ISS.

He is also the author of several New York Times bestselling books, including ‘Endurance: A Year in Space, a Lifetime of Discovery, Infinite Wonder’, and ‘Ready for Launch: An Astronaut’s Lessons for Success on Earth’.

The Adelaide show is part of a five-city Australian tour, with stops in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The series offers audiences a rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the most influential figures in modern space exploration at a time when humanity is once again looking toward the Moon and beyond.
