Adelaide is opening its arms to a brand spanking new authentic tapas-style bar in Henley Beach! Having just opened on the 19th of this month, this fabulous new venue- specialising in Venetian street food- has already had praise flying around their social media!
This traditional Venetian Osteria and aperitivo bar serving dishes made with local sustainable produce is a family run South Australian business specialising in authentic age old recipes typically cooked with simple but beautiful local ingredients.
Sarah and Francesco, owners and operators of Francesco’s Cicchetti, a successful vegan/vegetarian food business of four years retailing at Plant 4 Bowden markets and events such as Womadelaide and the Fringe festival. This powerful duo has a passion for unprocessed whole foods, making everything from scratch and sourcing the freshest local and sustainable and where possible organic ingredients from around South Australia. This means that all dishes are traditionally handmade using classic Italian recipes creating a special kind of Venetian Soul Food.
Their carefully constructed dinner and events menu include special Venetian recipes handed down from Francesco’s mother with an emphasis on locally sourced vegetables, cheeses and sustainable Fleurieu Peninsula seafood.
They also cater for Vegan/Vegetarian customers with a special vegan menu offering some delicious dishes including lasagna – Roasted Mediterranean Veggies layered with brown rice pasta, split pea rags and dairy free béchamel all around the $18 mark.
