Attention Interior Addicts, We Have Found The New Homeware Store You Will Want To Visit!

This place is a veritable feast for your eyes if, like us, you are addicted to all things interior…

It is new (ok it has been open for five weeks but that is new enough to us), it is family run and locally owned and it is conveniently in the city… Did we also mention they stock amazing homewares? Oh yep, you will want to know all about this place.

Set in the JR’s Surf and Ski building on Grenfell Street, Home Supply is the hottest new play thing for all the home decorating addicts out there.Home Supply

Will and Kira who have been running JR’s for the last 10 years have seen their tastes and interests develop into all things interiors since renovating their home. In wanting to keep their business fresh they decided to give JR’s a whole new shopping experience incorporating their newest venture, ‘Home Supply’ within the already established institution.

To put it quite simply, they have nailed it. It’s all kinds of amazing… We sent our resident decor-a-holic Sarah Shanahan to check it all out and here’s what she saw/thought/experienced:

Walking up the stairs from the street the first thing I took in were the awesomely cool the light fixtures along the staircase wall. They were giving me a sneaky suspicion that once I reached the top of the stairs and entered the store, I would very much like what I might see. I wasn’t wrong… In fact I was so right because WOW, I was in homewares heaven.Home Supply

After picking my jaw up from the floor I needed a few minutes to take it all in. I felt like I had somehow been transported to a cool, industrial New York warehouse store. Everywhere I looked it was cool, urban, trendy… All the things you want your home to be.

Both Kira and Will obviously have a great eye for detail, style and design. The walls, the shelving, the layout – it makes it very easy to wander around and see everything in its best light.

They stock amazing products from some of my absolute faves including Blacklist, HK Living, Kip and Co, Uashmama (see my previous story on this amazing company here) Down to the Woods, Pony Rider, Hunter Lab and local businesses such as Potted Thoughts and Knotley Crew… I mean I could keep going but seriously, just go and check it all out yourself.

If it wasn’t already my idea of heaven, the guys will also be opening up a street level coffee shop early this month. I will be visiting ‘Seafaring Fool’ after I come back to do some more shopping.

This place will be a definite pitt stop on my next ‘Shop with Sarah’ shopping tour, but be warned, we may just stay all day!
