Audiences Wanted For Seven TV Pilots To Film In Adelaide

Tickets are now on sale for audiences to join in the fun as seven new TV talk and game show pilots are trialled and filmed in Adelaide, beginning this week!

The Black Box Experiment will begin trialling and shooting seven television pilots in Adelaide from this week!

A daring new concept is aiming to put Adelaide back in the conversation for television production. The Black Box Experiment is giving seven Adelaide native creatives a month of live shows to work on a unique television concept, before filming a pilot on the last Wednesday of each month at Rhino Room.

Throughout the month, the artist gets to try out different ideas in front of a live audience, make it better and try again before it’s captured on film on the last show of the month.

The first pilot off the tarmac is Kat Jensen’s “🍆 & 🍑 ” (Eggplant and Peach) – a live chat show exploring the ins and outs of digital dating. It’s a show that reflects dating in the digital age and the awkward, hilarious and at times scary moments that come along with swiping right!

Other pilots revving their engines at the end of the runway include game shows from Adelaide comedians and actors such as Big Al, Jason Chong, Lori Bell, Lucy Markiewicz and Dave Hirst, a darkly comedic improvised comedy from multi-award winning playwright Caleb Lewis, and live readings of unproduced sitcom scripts. The pilots will be pitched to broadcast and online channels as well as forming a series for broadcast on Channel 44.

Tickets are from $8.50 to be in the audience of the Black Box Experiments which begin their Wednesday night runs this week.
