The original and biggest cheese festival in Australia, CheeseFest, is returning to Adelaide’s Rundle Park this weekend for two days of cheese, cheese, and more cheese.
But that’s not all, because this year’s festivities have been curated to feature a legen–dairy schedule of masterclass lessons, celebrity cooking demonstrations, workshops, music, and entertainment.
Now the biggest outdoor cheese festival nationwide, CheeseFest was established in 2006 to shine a light upon South Australia’s artisan cheese producers.
Located in the heart of Adelaide, CheeseFest showcases cheese products from all of SA’s regions to the beautiful Rundle Park, featuring local food producers, restaurants, distillers, brewers, winemakers, and all the cheese your heart could possible desire.
As the architects of this cheesy extravaganza, the CheeseFest organisers create an experience unlike any festival of its kind in Australia. In addition to an endless array of delicious cheesy morsels, CheeseFest have arranged a diverse schedule of live entertainment, music, cooking demonstrations, and cheese masterclasses – all in a vibrant and relaxed outdoor setting.
There will be 80 stalls overflowing with South Australia’s finest cheeses, a wide selection of food producers, and top-notch beverages. Plus celebrity food writer and die-hard cheese fantic Matt Preston returning for his fifth CheeseFest to share his insights and passion for cheese.
Join one of the masterclasses led by renowned chefs and producers like Warren Mendes, Callum Hann, and Gaetan Chapon, where you’ll discover the secrets of cheesemaking and perfect pairings.

The RAA Masterclass pavilion is back after a year’s hiatus, offering a series of expert-led sessions on cheese and wine pairing. Don’t miss the chance to learn from some of the top minds in the industry, including Munda Wines’ First Nations winemaker, Paul Vandenbergh, whose unique perspective on winemaking is sure to inspire the perfect pairing.
CheeseFest is also embracing international flavours this year, welcoming New Zealand producer Kiwi Artisan to the festival for the first time.
Discover a wide variety of cheeses from across SA and beyond, including popular names like Barossa Valley Cheese Company, Udder Delights, and Long Paddock Cheese.
For those following a plant-based diet, two vegan cheesemakers will be making their debut appearance, showcasing their delicious dairy-free creations.
Back by popular demand, the CheeseFest live music program will be returning to the main stage for a second year, featuring South Australian musicians from the pop, jazz, folk and roots genres.
Additionally, the team from Vintage Van Gogh are bringing you Vitisculpture, a Sculpt and Sip experience of pottery making with wine and cheese.
With tickets starting from only $23.32, don’t miss this cheese-packed, family-friendly showcase of the best of South Australia’s cheesy offerings and more.
