Australia’s largest food festival, Good Food Month is growing with the popular Night Noodle Markets launching in Adelaide to satisfy the state’s Asian cuisine cravings!
In conjunction with the launch of the renowned arts festival, the inaugural Adelaide Night Noodle Markets brought to you by Good Food Month, will be associated with Adelaide Festival Centre’s OzAsia Festival running from September 24 to October 4 at the Adelaide Festival Precinct.
This is the first time the Markets have run in South Australia giving Adelaideans the chance to feast their way through this Asian hawker-style market for 11 glorious nights. Fairfax Head of Events James Laing said it is exciting to be launching in Adelaide as the state has such a vibrant food culture, and that the Night Noodle Markets will complement this during its tenure in the city.
“We are proud to be joining the OzAsia Festival, and are passionate about bringing the best of Asian hawker-style eating to Adelaide with a mix of local and interstate food stalls joining the markets,” said Laing.
With more than 170,000 people getting involved in Brisbane’s inaugural Night Noodle Markets, and more than 500,000 people eating their way through Sydney and Melbourne’s 2014 Night Noodle Markets, the festivity is a recipe for success. The Markets will be the food offering for the popular and well-established OzAsia Festival, which is the premier Australian international arts festival that connects audiences with arts from across Asia.
With a strong reputation in Adelaide, and a growing following both nationally and internationally, it is a great opportunity for Adelaide hospitality businesses to be associated with both the OzAsia Festival and Good Food Month. The Night Noodle Markets in other states attract some of the biggest and most popular names in Asian cuisine and applications to become a stall holder are now open. Adelaide establishments are encouraged to join the line up and get their names up in lights by contacting the Fairfax team.
With the AFL Grand Final falling on October 3, and October 5 being the Labour Day Public holiday, the final weekend of the Markets is expected to bring in the crowds.
The Night Noodle Markets will run from Monday to Thursdays from 5pm until late, on Fridays from 4pm until late, and on weekends the excitement will kick off from noon. Entry is free.
Key Festival dates include: ● Night Noodle Markets: September 24 to October 4 ● OzAsia Festival: September 24 to October 4 ● OzAsia Moon Lantern Festival: September 27.
