Adelaide’s winter is set to be filled with art.
A celebration of innovation, music, art and light, Australia’s newest major winter event, Illuminate Adelaide, will bring winter to life over 17 days and nights from 16 July 2021.
Every weekend, for two weeks and three weekends, Illuminate Adelaide will light up the city’s streets, laneways and architecture with a program of free and ticketed events by local, national and international artists and companies.
The event will feature more than 150 installations, performances, and events – including 41 world premieres.
Illuminate Adelaide unveiled the highlights of its curated program of world premieres, local and international collaborations, and immersive experiences exploring the union of future technologies and the creative industries on April 8.
Illuminate Adelaide will create hundreds of jobs in South Australia and the opportunity for audiences around the country to explore a city brimful of innovative and immersive experiences.
The event is was made possible by SA Premier Steven Marshall through the South Australian Tourism Commission, and Illuminate Adelaide Co-Founders and Creative Directors Rachael Azzopardi and Lee Cumberlidge.
