Been daydreaming about your next music and arts festival experience? Well, look no further than Daydreamers Art and Music Festival, a brand new festival that combines art and music in the heartland of Kangaroo Island. As a lover of everything art, music, and culture, this festival certainly sound like an incredible, can’t-miss event, intertwining the arts, interactive activities, and the wonderful natural environment of Kangaroo Island.
This festival will take you on a journey back to your inner child, and beyond…The adventure begins with an exhibition of whimsical watercolour works by 23-year-old independent artist Chantal Leonhardt, who’ll be showcasing her painted collection of Kangaroo Island secret spots that will “take you back in time to lost memories and magical moments”.
Chantal Leonhardt’s Daydreamers collection showcases over 25 watercolour artworks, including 18 new originals inspired by the secret spots hidden along Kangaroo Island’s coastline. Venture through southern ocean coastal winds, lost memories, and the delicate warm touch of the setting sun, backed by a host of fantastic musicians from Adelaide just over the pond.
Hear the melodic folk offerings of Naomi Keyte, or the refreshing beats by Satin Sun. As the evening continues, Divebar Youth is set to set the stage ablaze with a set full of funky jams, and local blues-rock outfit The Sundials will bring the house down with a feast of danceable rhythmic grooves.
Daydreamers home is the Shearing Shed at Eleanor Downs in KI. Set in the heartland of Kangaroo Island, the Shearing Shed’s rustic charm compliments it’s naturalistic surroundings inviting you to step into the farm’s history.
Sponsored by Our Town Kangaroo Island, Daydreamers brings together an incredible epic event intertwined with many interactive elements, such as photo booths and letter stations, locally made sweets from Les douceurs de sooz, drinks by Grasshopper Brewing, and some big voices from just over the water.
