Award-winning ‘Red District’ returns to Fringe in a sensual spectacle of dance and aerial acrobatics

Experience the ultimate night of seduction as ‘Red District’ combines dance, pole and cabaret with provocative sensuality at Fringe.

After setting the Adelaide Fringe ablaze with a sold-out debut and clinching the Weekly Best Dance award in 2023, Red District is gearing up to electrify The Octagon stage at Gluttony this March with a more seductive and tantalising show than ever before.

Running from Wednesday, 6th to Sunday, 17th March, this is an immersive experience that celebrates sexuality, sensuality, and self-fulfilment through a blend of local dance, pole, aerial, and cabaret performances inspired by the vibrant red light districts of Europe.

Producer and performer Carlie Hunter has curated a show that promises not just a display of talent but an exhibition of some of South Australia’s most incredible performers.

“This show gives Adelaide audiences a chance to see some of the state’s most incredible local talent on one stage,” says Hunter. With performers who have honed their skills in Paris and Amsterdam, award-winning artists, and talents who have shared the stage with world-renowned entertainers, the show offers an unparalleled mix of expertise and charisma.

Carlie Hunter not only brings her championship pole dancing skills to the Fringe stage but also an air of global prestige after performing with Snoop Dogg on the local leg of his recent Australian tour.

“Fringe is such an incredible opportunity to share a message and to showcase the world-class performers we have here at home. We’ve been so grateful for Adelaide audiences’ support so far, and I’m excited to bring together a bigger, better and more seductive show, stacked with some new performers whose stage presence will add even more temptation to the atmosphere”, says Hunter.

Attendees can look forward to a spectacular lineup including Carlie Hunter, Beatrice Jackson, Emily Raymond, Bridget Rose, Nicole Walker, Caitlyn Bernie, and Holly Millea, with the charming Hew Parham as the show’s host, which is a concoction of devilish dance routines, cheeky comedy, and breathtaking aerial artistry, all wrapped up in an atmosphere of pure temptation.

‘Red District’ is an experience that dares you to indulge in your desires, celebrate the beauty of the human form, and appreciate the art of performance. With a promise of new acts and a spicier narrative, the show is set to leave audiences (M15+) spellbound and craving for more.

If you appreciate the artistry of dance, the thrill of cabaret, and the awe-inspiring beauty of aerial performances, ‘Red District’ is a show to add to your Fringe list. It’s a perfect late-night show for those looking to be mesmerised by physical prowess, seductive choreography, and a touch of clever wit and cheeky humour that promises an unforgettable Fringe experience.
