January is the time for new beginnings and fresh starts. With New Year’s resolutions in full swing, many people are looking to try new activities, and yoga is often at the top of the list.
So it’s perfect timing that one of the Adelaide Hills’ award-winning wineries, Golding Wines, is gearing up for an invigorating summer retreat.
Teaming up with Roaming Zen and Harmonic Essence, they’re offering a half-day wellness yoga and sound immersion mini-retreat, a perfect blend of physical activity, mental relaxation, and some serious delicious food.

Jen from Roaming Zen will spearhead the event with an hour-long yoga session. It’s a mix of yang and yin yoga – starting with dynamic poses to energise and strengthen, then easing into more relaxing, longer-held poses.
The sound healing, led by Chris Toms of Harmonic Essence, promises to be a unique auditory experience. Participants will relax deeply as they are enveloped in a soundscape aimed at rebalancing and energizing. Chris’s expertise in sound healing ensures a session that’s both therapeutic and deeply relaxing.
After the sessions, guests will be treated to a long table lunch under the shade of elm trees. The menu features locally sourced produce and wines from Golding Wines.

Darren and Lucy from Golding Wines share their excitement.
“We love collaborating with Jeni and Chris to create wellness focused events like our Summer mini retreat. There is something really special about practicing yoga outside on our lawns surrounded by gardens and vines. When Chris begins his sound immersion be prepared to slip into a state of relaxation you have never experienced before. It is bliss!”
Priced at $149, the retreat includes yoga, sound healing, a smoothie upon arrival, and a seasonal lunch with wines. It’s a bargain!

“Great food and wine is something we do here everyday but to pair that with an experience that we know brings everyone a bit of zen and a lot of joy is what makes this event such a pleasure to host. It really is an unforgettable morning out in the Hills.”
Golding Wines offers an enchanting combination of natural beauty, exceptional wines, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a place that blends the art of winemaking with the serene beauty of the Adelaide Hills. And this is a really good way of doing just that.
