Ayers House, a historic jewel nestled at on North Terrace in Adelaide, is hosting an exclusive Caviar & Champagne Long Table Experience in The Ballroom. Slated for Saturday, August 31st, from 6pm to 10pm, this bucket list event is poised to recreate the opulence of classical fine dining with an irresistible pairing of champagne and caviar. Plus it’s an opportunity to experience a rarely frequented part of Ayer’s House, normally reserved for weddings.
The event will take place in the lavishly decorated Ballroom, an apt setting for such a refined gathering.
Upon arrival, attendees will be welcomed with a glass of Bollinger Special Cuvée NV, setting the tone for an evening of sophisticated indulgence.
The culinary offerings for the night will be overseen by Paul Groves, an award-winning chef known for his innovative approach to canapés. Guests will be served five meticulously crafted canapés, each comprising different forms of exquisite caviar. The selection ranges from classic steak tartare to delicately smoked duck breast and fresh oysters, each designed to complement the array of champagnes and caviars.
Highlighting the event will be the expertise brought forth by two renowned connoisseurs. Sara Underdown, Australian champagne authority and founder of Vine & Bubble, will shepherd attendees through the complex world of champagne. With her detailed commentary, guests will gain insight into the history, nuances, and sensory profiles of the world’s finest bubbly.
Parallel to the champagne journey, Kasia Sowinska, a specialist in sustainably produced caviar, will illuminate the intricate details of caviar production. Her expertise will ensure that guests not only savour the finest caviar but also appreciate the environmental considerations involved in its sourcing and production.
The experience, which costs $440 per person, includes six glasses of champagne, five gourmet canapés, and four distinct caviar tastings. It marks a rare opportunity to delve into a luxurious culinary adventure while ensconced in the historical splendour of Ayers House.
