Cafes

Baa Moo Oink go from cutlets to coffee with the opening of new cafe!

The popular Kidman Park butcher has now opened an adjoining cafe serving great coffee and a full breakfast menu that’s open from 6am.

New cafes pop up all the time – what can we say, Adelaideans love a brunch – but this one, in particular, caught our eye.

Hickory smoked bacon, wagyu beef, gourmet hot dogs and Barossa smoked Kransky’s all feature prominently on the newly created menu and if you’re noticing a heavy meat theme, there’s good reason for that.

BMO Café and Burger Bar is the newest addition to the popular Kidman Park butcher, Baa Moo Oink. Crowned Best Butcher in Adelaide’s West, Baa Moo Oink has customers travelling from all over town for not only its high-quality produce but also the outstanding customer service – and customers can expect these same exact qualities from the newest addition in the BMO Café.

“It started as an extra way to promote our products and show customers how they can be used,” says David Colbert, one of the many brains behind BMO.

“We want to showcase the paddock to plate philosophy and we had the space to open the café, so we did!”

What started as a drive-thru pop-up, an unprecedented interest from the Baa Moo Oink faithful has seen the café become a permanent fixture with both eat-in and takeaway options.

“This is just stage one,” says David.

“If it gets up and shows that there’s a need and a want, we’ve got extra space that we can use to open the café up into a bigger format.”

So, what can one expect from a butcher’s café? Well, for starters – darn good coffee. In the way of food, burgers are the specialty here with beef, chicken and even vego available as well as a selection of other delicatessen delights such as bacon & egg sandwiches, smoked kranskys and gourmet hot dogs.

Located in Kidman Park, the new addition is somewhat of a reprieve to locals and passers-by with the area infamously quite empty so, if you happen to drive down (or near) Findon Road on your daily commute each day, rejoice because with the café open from 6am seven days a week, there is finally somewhere to stop and fuel for the day.

Find BMO Café at 378 Findon Road, Kidman Park 5025.
