Here at Glam Adelaide, we’re constantly on the lookout for exciting events happening around Adelaide, especially those pencilled in on public holidays. We’ve found a fantastic, all-day event in the Barossa Valley that’s perfect for locals or anyone seeking a bit of a getaway over the long weekend.
In collaboration with Rehn Bier and Durand Distillery, Pirathon Wines in Tanunda are hosting “Live on the Pirathon Greens”, a jam-packed day of fun and great vibes in the sun.
The dazzling stretches of Pirathon’s grassy greens will play host to an all-day schedule of live music acts, featuring local Barossa performers and headline act The Barking Acts who are slated to bring the house down with their renowned mix of blues, classic rock, and iconic Australian tunes.
Food will be available on the lawns from Howard’s Fire, an American-style smoked barbecue caterer serving up delicious smoky goodness to fuel your celebration into the evening. Burgers and ice cream will also be available to choose from.
You can also challenge your friends to some friendly competition and show off your skills with some games on the lawn, including everyone’s favourite summer pastime: backyard cricket.
And, of course, bars will be set up on the lawns to serve up wines from Pirathon, Rehn Bier’s signature traditional and old-world style beers, and Durand Distillery’s premium Australian gin.
General admission is $25 per person and includes a complimentary beer or glass of wine. Plus, kids under the age of 15 can get in for free, so you can bring along the whole family.
