Baddog Bar is hosting an American Carnival themed night Saturday April 30, so get ready for a show with a side of strong whiskey.
The small Hyde Street bar is the perfect place for a night filled with live music, performers, and lots and lots of whiskey.
Expect circus vibes on the night without the creepy clowns, which is a relief for everyone.
Baddog have instructed their guests to come however they please, from performer to spectator and everything in between.
Tucked away in the east end, Baddog is fitted out with timber, leather booths, exposed lighting and raw concrete floors and has become a local favourite for those wanting something with a little more edge.
It can be a little difficult to find, but this bar really is the definition of a hidden treasure and is well worth the effort.
With over 120 bottles of booze on the wall, you can select from Baddog’s impressive whiskey and gin collections.
And while you won’t find a single drinks menu, you can order a cocktail from the catalogue of recipe’s inside the barman’s head.
The soundtrack of the night will be supplied by the band The Various Nefarious, who will be playing non-stop old gypsy jazz and western swing hits from the 30s.
The Various Nefarious are a band comprising of a bass, two guitars, a violin and clarinet, and an accordion, which fit almost seamlessly into the bar’s bluesy and classic aesthetic.
They are crowd favourites at bars and markets all over Adelaide and their promise is that no show is like another, making this Carnival one not to be missed.
American Carnival night will be happening April 30 and doors will open at 7pm.
