With the Balaklava Cup just around the corner the news is coming fast about their biggest drawcards this year. Daryl Braithwaite will be performing on the day, the new food and dining precinct, and the better-than-ever Fashion on the Field competition.
This year’s Balaklava Cup Fashion on the Field prize pool has upped the ante for fashion forward racegoers, with a massive $13,000 worth of prizes up for grabs for the best-dressed punters on the day.
Over the last few years the Balaklava Cup has increasingly become one of the top events on the Adelaide social calendar, with more than 12,000 people attending in 2014, and an expected crowd of over 13,000 this year.
Hay might be what horses eat, but this years winner of the Best Dressed Female category will be eating some of the best that Jack Ruby, La Trattoria, and Howard Vineyard (to name just a few) can provide with $1000 worth of dining vouchers for some of Adelaide’s best venues. She’ll also be sparkling like the sun with a Diva Bracelet’ from Feri Mosh Divas by Emily Krstina Santic worth $3000. The lucky filly who wins this fashion race will also be the proud owner of a new dress perfect to win the Fashion at the Races finals with a $2000 voucher for BNKR from Australian Fashion Labels.
Obviously if you have the dress and the entry to the Fashion at the Races finals you’d have to be included, and the winner of the Balaklava Cup Best Dressed Female will automatically be one of the 15 women who will don their best race day frocks next May to win a $25,000 luxury racing holiday for two to Asia or a $2,000 shopping and private styling session with BNKR.
Of course, they haven’t forgotten the stallions that’ll be trackside; the Best Dressed Male winner will receive a $3000 voucher from Tailors of Distinction to help them out for the next event they have to ‘dressage’ up for.
