Band Together – Youth Music Night is giving emerging musos the ultimate shot at the spotlight

Band Together – Youth Music Night will showcase Adelaide’s next wave of talent this Youth Week, giving young musicians a free, supportive stage to perform, be heard and win career-boosting prizes.

Are you a young musician looking to get your name out there, dreaming of getting on stage and playing to a real crowd? Well, Band Together – Youth Music Night is totally your moment.

Joining the lineup for Youth Week 2026, this is a music showcase that’s all about giving young musicians a chance to get out there and chase their big break. Presented by the City of Prospect and from the team behind the Club5082 live music series, Band Together will transform Eliza Hall into the place to be for fresh talent on April 18th.

Performers aged 12 to 25 are encouraged to sign up. Whether you’re part of a band, a solo act or even a duo, Band Together welcomes any artist exploring any genre or style to get out there and strut their stuff. It could be a school band ready to make their debut, a singer-songwriter keen to test something original, or a group of mates who’ve been jamming in the garage at home. This is a genuine chance to get out there and be heard.

To make it even better, the event is free to attend. Creating a supportive, all-ages environment where friends, family and music lovers can come together is of top priority for the crew. The winners will be decided by audience vote, giving performers instant feedback.

As for the prizes, they’re designed to actually help artists take the next step. Winners will get the chance to try a recording studio session at Wundenbergs Recording Studio, giving young artists a chance to professionally record their music. Plus, they’ll also get an opportunity to perform at the 2026 Prospect Spring Fair, one of the area’s biggest community events.

Applications are already open and close on February 22nd, so if you’re an aspiring performer or know of someone who might be keen, it’s recommended to get in early as spots are limited.

Band Together is all part of the City of Prospect’s mission to celebrate young people and creativity during South Australian Youth Week. Youth Week highlights opportunities across arts, culture, media, community and of course music, really spreading the idea that young people belong and can thrive in SA.

So if you’re a young musician ready to take things to the next level, this is one you won’t want to miss.
